Velvet and Pom Poms.

Following on from the grey velvet leggings I got from H & M a few weeks ago, I have now purchased a pair of black ones from Miss Selfridge. Although you can't really see them, they look so lovely in person. They're incredibly black with a subtle shimmer.I also got some shoes from Select (yes, this is fast becoming a favourite shop of mine for affordable fashion!) in both black and purple! They cost £22/$36 and comprise of a simple stiletto but with the sweetest fringed pom pom to embellish my toe box.

Playstation 2 and Final Fantasy.

My boyfriend has kindly given me his PlayStation 2 (as he has #3) and I will slowly be making my way through the entire Final Fantasy series, which we both absolutely love! I've started from Final Fantasy VII as I don't think I could cope with the graphics on earlier versions! In general, graphics are so snazzy nowadays so it's quite hard going back to playing/watching something that has such poor quality and my boyfriend was keen for me to at least start from VII as he thought it had the best storyline so I decided to give it a shot. I couldn't stop laughing at first because everything was so toy-like, which was such an odd contrast to the serious storyline.I was thinking of blogging about my progress but since moving home, I have completely forgotten the storyline! I think I've played about 10 hours, but I can't wait to get back into it again!

Shopper.

As mentioned before, I am having serious internet problems, but I can just about publish shorter entries without everything crashing!

A lot of stores in the UK now either use paper bags, charge for using their plastic bags, or have thinned out their plastic bags so much that you only have to pinch it for it to tear...therefore, I really started to make sure I had a simple cloth shopper folded up in my bag at all times! However, these just weren't big enough for me, so when I noticed a work colleague using a larger, rigid, plastic shopper with the sweetest artwork of a leopard, I had to go and get one! It was only £5/$8 from River Island which was such a bargain for something I use everyday and I only need to wipe it with a damp cloth to clean it.

Dongle.

"A dongle is a small piece of equipment (or USB stick) that you plug into your computer via a USB port to give you access to mobile internet broadband."

It is as terrible as its name, and no way as good as it sounds...and is the reason why I haven't been blogging as much as I'd like to because my connection speed is dire! I will soon be getting home broadband and will be a lot more active as I have a very long list of blog entries waiting to be tweaked and published - along with a few reviews on the dongles I have been using!

I have also been unable to respond to comments or visit my favourite blogs, it sometimes takes about 15 minutes to just load a blog! I'm going to have so much to catch up on!

Fringed Leggings.

My previous blog entry was about a sequin jacket I got from UK fashion brand Select and I thought I may as well show off some fringed leggings I got from there too! I have to admit that I haven't worn them out yet, just because the fringing really makes a statement when in motion. Also, my favourite pair of boots have fringing on them and fringed leggings with fringed boots would be overkill... but I will find a way soon!

Sequin Jacket.

I've wanted a sequin jacket for a very long time, it's just one of those items of clothing that I feel is a 'must-have'! However, because I knew that I would only wear it once or twice a year, I didn't want to spend a lot of money on it as I really have the whole cost-per-wear idea in my head when shopping. So, when I spotted Select (a UK fashion brand I started taking notice of earlier this year) offering a sequin jacket for only £25/$40, I had to have it! I love the smaller sequin size and how much it shimmers when worn. I think I'd also really like to have a petrol blue version!

Organisation - again.

My first 'Organisation' blog entry was all the way back in April 08, when I had bought the HELMER from IKEA and had used one of the drawers to store my ribbons in. However, as I'd recently moved home and really wanted to make my room amazing, I've been keeping an eye out on new decoration and storage ideas. So when I was casually browsing IKEA and saw some cute little baskets put upon slick, white shelves...a flashing light bulb appeared over my head! Some of you may know that I have an Etsy shop - Etsy is a website where you can 'buy and sell all things handmade'...and some other things too. So, over the 2 years that I have been on the site, my ribbon collection has of course expanded. At the moment, there are 40 products out of 114 in my shop that contains ribbon, almost half!
So, that little drawer I had for my ribbons, pretty much became obsolete...making way for an upgrade! I went and got several of the IKEA AGEN baskets and decided to separate each ribbon by colour. It is so much easier to find a specific ribbon now, but all I need now are the shelves, and to put them up myself!
